Interphase 1 definition
Interphase is the portion of the cell cycle that is not accompanied by visible changes under the microscope, and includes the G1, S and G2 phases. During interphase, the cell grows (G1), replicates its DNA (S) and prepares for mitosis (G2). A cell in interphase is not simply quiescent. The term quiescent (i.e. dormant) would be misleading since a cell in interphase is very busy synthesi… http://www.actforlibraries.org/meiosis/

WebNon-kinetochore microtubules elongate the cell. In meiosis II, the connected sister chromatids remaining in the haploid cells from meiosis I will be split to form four haploid cells. The two cells produced in meiosis I go through the events of meiosis II in synchrony. Overall, meiosis II resembles the mitotic division of a haploid cell. emily williams md spokaneWebNov 24, 2024 · In other words, interphase is the longest phase of the cell cycle in which the cell prepares for nuclear division and produce new daughter cells.
