WebCrossbows are more powerful than most bows, with the regular crossbow having the same base damage as a Daedric Bow. Crossbows have a built-in 50% chance to stagger opponents. If combined with the Power Shot Perk, it will stagger 75% of the time. The Enhanced variety ignores 50% of enemy armor. WebNot counting crossbows, the strongest bow is the dragonbone bow. And it's the one I use for stealth archer. For combat archers you're probably gonna want to look at dps and not pure power. Then you'd want to use one of the lighter, faster bows. For enchanting, go with chaos damage and either fire or frost damage. Don't enchant paralysis on the bow.
